World Book Day!

This year we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of World Book Day – with the message for all children ‘you are a reader‘! It will be filled with lots of exciting, celebratory ways to promote reading for pleasure on World Book Day, and all-year round.School will be celebrating world book day with lots of fun activities and stories to share. I thought I'd tell you about a few of the activities that you can take part in.

World Book Day is on the Thursday 3rd March. (Our second week back after the holidays.) Children can come to school dressed in their pyjamas on World Book Day 03.03.22. Children will receive a £1 book token which they can use to get £1 off a book of their choice in selected shops. Or there will be a special range of £1 books that children can choose and exchange their token for. Here is a link for the specially produced £1 books. https://www.worldbookday.com/books/

Here is a link to the World Book Day family page. https://www.worldbookday.com/families/ It has lots of ideas for you as a family, games, free audio books and some competitions. Why not have a look during half term? The Sheffield libraries also have some events on this week.
