Spring 2- The Farm

This half term we will be looking at different farm animals and thinking about how they grow. We will also be planting seeds and learning how to care for growing plants.

These are some of the key texts that we will be reading:

Farmer Duck

In our Maths sessions we will be using words to do with position to describe where different objects are. We will also be linking numerals and amounts so we will be counting out the correct number of objects to match a number. We will also be singing some of our favourite number songs. You can sing these at home too by clicking on the links below:

Autumn 2- Down in the Woods

This half term in Nursery our topic is 'Down in the Woods.' We will be reading the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and will be making and tasting our own porridge. We will also focus on the story 'Owl Babies' and we will be learning about Owls and other animals that might live in the wood.

In our Maths group times we will be learning to say our numbers in the correct order and look at the numerals that represent each number. We will be singing our number songs to help us to remember how to write the numbers and we will be practising how to count out the correct number of objects for each number. We will also be singing our favourite number songs such as 5 Little Speckled Frogs.

Our favourite Number songs at the moment are '5 Little Speckled Frogs' and '5 Little Ducks Went Swimming One Day.'
