AfL is embedded throughout teaching.
We use:
- Targeted questioning
- Mini‑whiteboard responses
- Do‑Now retrieval tasks
- Exit tickets
- Live marking
- Lesson‑by‑lesson checks on conceptual grasp
- Pupil voice during reasoning
End‑of‑Block Assessments
We use White Rose End‑of‑Block Tests:
- As a prior knowledge check before teaching a new block
- To identify gaps
- To plan targeted support
- To adapt the forthcoming sequence
TA Hub – Additional Support & SEND Adaptations
We use TA Hub White Rose resources to:
- Support children working towards age‑related expectations
- Pre‑teach upcoming content for pupils with SEND
- Provide scaffolded versions of White Rose tasks
- Clarify misconceptions before they become barriers
We also use TA Hub pre‑teaching materials for children who are working well below the expected level.
