Mastering Number

Mastering Number (FS2–Y5)

Children in FS2 to Year 5 take part in daily Mastering Number sessions to develop deep number sense, secure understanding of composition, and fluency with addition/subtraction facts.

This work provides the foundational knowledge required for later success in arithmetic and reasoning. This aligns closely with our internal Foundational Knowledge Progression document, where key number concepts build progressively over time for all learners, including those with SEND.
